By Dennis Agbo ENUGU—Defiant but released leader of a pro-Biafran group, the Biafra Zionist Movement, BZM, Mr. Benjamin Onwuka, has disclosed that his group did not kill any policeman when the group attempted to seize an Enugu Radio station in 2014. Onwuka, who upon his release after three years in incarceration, addressed a press conference in Enugu yesterday said that in the contrary, one of his people was killed by the police at the scene of the incident, maintaining that he has no regret for their action. He also attributed his release to the intervention of the United States of America, under former President Barrack Obama, adding that USA has endorsed the agitation for Biafra republic. He, however, noted that 10 members of his group are still in detention at Owerri prison due to the stringent bail condition. Onwuka said Biafra independence will be announced on March 15, subject to the endorsement of the US President Donald Trump, adding that since there was already a country Biafra, it does not require referendum to have the republic again.
